New York City India Day Parade is a very prestigious and the world’s largest India day parade outside India and it is organized on the occasion of India’s Independence day every year.

For the past two years, TeNA has been participating in this parade and proudly showcasing Telangana identity and culture displaying Telangana cultural and historical symbols such as Bathukamma, Bonalu, Pochampally Sarees, Pembarthy metal works, Warangal Fort Thoranam and Charminar. We also display pictures of eminent people of Telangana such as Kaloji, Komaram Bheem, Chakali Ailamma, Prof. Jayashankar and PV Narasimha Rao.

This time it is historic any means for all Telanganites all over the world, as we achieved our goal of formation of Telangana state. In order to celebrate this special occasion and display our pride in front of world audience, TeNA decided to put up a float, a decorative platform built on a vehicle, similar to Republic Day parade tableau in India, in addition to the procession with Peerlu, Bonalu, Bathukamma and Dappulu.

TeNA is glad to invite you all to participate in the India day parade and show case the Telangana culture and heritage in the heart of New york. TeNA kindly requests, especially, the Telangana NRIs in New york and surrounding states to take part in this memorable event.
